Regal Entertainment Group Announces Grand Opening Details for Aliante Stadium 16 & IMAX®

Knoxville, Tennessee – October 29, 2008 – Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced grand opening details for the new Regal Cinemas in Las Vegas. Aliante Stadium 16 & IMAX® will host preview events for two full days to benefit local charities. The cinema's official grand opening will be Friday, November 14 with first-run features including Quantum of Solace and Madagascar Escape 2 Africa: The IMAX Experience®. Moviegoers will enjoy free popcorn and free soft drinks with each paid admission November 14 – 20.

Moviegoers will enjoy the latest theatre amenities at Regal Aliante, including a new IMAX theatre just in time for the Holiday movie season," state Dick Westerling, Regal Entertainment Group Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. "We are committed to providing our Las Vegas patrons the best moviegoing experience possible. The addition of Aliante Stadium 16 increases Regal Entertainment Group's presence in the Las Vegas area to 11 theatres with 146 screens."

Regal Aliante Stadium 16 will feature a new IMAX theatre. Utilizing the IMAX digital projection system, the theatre will showcase Hollywood blockbusters that have been digitally re-mastered into the unique image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience on a specially-designed screen that is slightly curved and moved forward to further immerse the audience. The IMAX theatre will also offer IMAX 3D. When filmmakers choose to integrate IMAX 3D into their movies, images leap off of the screen and into the laps of the audience, further enhancing the feeling of being IN the movie.

Aliante Stadium 16 will showcase Real D 3D presentations such as Bolt in Disney Digital 3D opening November 21. The modern movie theatre covers approximately 81,000 square feet and includes more than 3,400 seats. Moviegoers will enjoy stadium seating, with each row elevated for an unobstructed view, digital projection in every auditorium, and high-back rocking chairs featuring cupholder armrests which move out of the way to form seats for two.

Everyone is invited to enjoy this new entertainment destination on Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 13. These preview events will feature $2 movies, $2 popcorn and $2 soft drinks with proceeds benefiting local charities. Details are available at:
