Magician Jeff McBride brings "Magic at the Edge" to Palace Station Hotel and Casino

McBride to host Wonderground club experience weekend nights following show

LAS VEGAS – August 18, 2008 – Acclaimed magician Jeff McBride returns to Las Vegas at Palace Station Hotel and Casino with his "Magic at the Edge" show following a highly successful international tour. He takes the stage beginning Friday, Aug. 22 for a special three-month engagement. Performances will be nightly, at 7:30 p.m., dark Tuesdays, inside the Sound Trax Showroom. Tickets are $49 plustaxes and applicable fees.

McBride toured the world extensively the past two years with his cabaret-style show "Magic at the Edge." Combining his favorite passions and theatrical talents of magic, martial arts, mime and Kabuki theatre, McBride brings an edgy, interactive mix to the intimate Sound Trax Showroom for an up-close and personal magic show that is so rarely seen today. Joining him on stage each night are fellow magician Jordan Wright and dancer Melanie Kramer.

McBride is no stranger to Las Vegas. Over the past 20 years he has performed opening or headline acts at the Golden Nugget, Las Vegas Hilton and was one of the leading magicians at Caesars Palace's "Magical Empire" show.

"I'm thrilled to return to Las Vegas, the magic capital of the world, and to be able to bring my show to the locals," said McBride. "Vegas has more light per square inch than anywhere else on the planet. It also has the darkest shadows. I enjoy exploring this edge, between darkness and light; it's where the magician finds his home."

Following every Friday and Saturday show, Sound Trax Showroom will transform into McBride"s Wonderground, a magical club experience that features interactive close-up magic, uncommon variety acts and performance art. Wonderground features special performances by McBride and celebrity guest artists and will be different every evening. Attractions include a psychic sideshow, celebrity interaction with the stars of the show and plenty of dancing with DJ Leo Diaz, spinning the latest in techno-tribal sounds. Jeff McBride's limited engagement, "Magic at the Edge," has shows every Wednesday through Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the intimate 150-seat venue at Palace Station. Tickets are $49 plus tax and applicable fees and are available for purchase by calling (702) 574-5300, online at www.palacestation.com or at the Palace Station Box Office. This is an all-ages show and those under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.

McBride"s Wonderground is every Friday and Saturday night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. and is open to those 21 years and older. Entrance to this magical club experience is only $10 at the door, or half price for patrons showing up in magical costumes before 10:30 p.m. Those who have attended McBride's "Magic at the Edge" earlier in the evening can get in without paying any additional cover fee by showing their ticket stub. Entry will be first come, first serve and based upon venue capacity.

About Jeff McBride
Jeff McBride first came to Las Vegas as an opening act for Diana Ross at Caesars Palace more than 20 years ago. His dynamic performances made him an instant favorite with Vegas audiences, and Steve Wynn selected him to be a regular opening act at Wynn's then newly refurbished Golden Nugget. A few years later, McBride became one of Vegas' youngest headliners performing as the featured act in the Moulin Rouge show at the Las Vegas Hilton. Now, McBride returns bringing his full evening show to Las Vegas for the first time, featuring exotic mysteries he has collected on his travels from Bali to the Burning Man festival.

Television audiences may recognize McBride as "Judge Jeff" from the recent "Celebracadabra" series on VH-1, and appearances on magic awards shows on every major network, including A&E's "Mindfreak," and as Joran on "Star Trek – Deep Space Nine."
