Show to feature special guests N.E.R.D. and Lupe Fiasco to commence a season of top-rated acts spanning multiple genres
Las Vegas, Nev. - Grammy award-winning artist Kanye West is set to perform his "Glow in the Dark Tour" at Red Rock Resort as it launches its 2008 summer outdoor concert series on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Opening the show for West will be rapper Lupe Fiasco as well as funk/rock group N.E.R.D. consisting of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley.
While the concert was always scheduled for Red Rock Resort, the production needs grew following West's four Grammy wins at the 2008 awards ceremony. Station Casinos is accommodating the production requirements with a new temporary venue located outdoors at the casino resort.
This is the second year that Red Rock Resort is hosting a summer concert series. Last year's lineup included popular artists such as Nelly Furtado, Lauryn Hill, Peter Frampton, the Doobie Brothers and Daughtry.

Tickets for Kanye West are $70, plus tax and go on-sale Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at any Station Casinos Reward Center, the Fiestas and the Galleria Mall, by calling (702) 547-5300 or by logging onto www.stationcasinos.com. Fresh after winning four Grammy awards at the 50th anniversary of the Grammy's, West is back in action with his 2008 Glow in the Dark Tour. Rising quickly to fame in the earlier part of this decade, West first was known for his hip-hop beats and production work for rap mogul Jay-Z. He soon earned himself a major label recording contract for his solo work of which he accompanied his famed beats with his own raps. He released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004 of which he received three Grammy awards, including Best Rap Song for "Jesus Walks." The following year, he released his sophomore album Late Registration which produced several hit singles, including "Gold Digger," "Heard 'Em Say" and "Diamonds in Sierra Leone," as well as received a Grammy award for Best Album of the Year. Throughout the years, West has continued to produce albums for other artists and founded his own label GOOD in conjunction with Sony BMG. In 2008, West released his third solo album Graduation featuring the hit song "Stronger" for which he won the Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance and the song "Good Life" that won the Grammy for Best Rap Song.
