“HELL’S KITCHEN 3” WINNER ROCK HARPER BEGINS NEW CAREER TODAY AS HEAD CHEF AT GREEN VALLEY RANCH RESORT’S TERRA VERDE ITALIAN RESTAURANT

(HENDERSON, Nev.)—Chef “Rock” Harper arrives today as head chef at Terra Verde Italian restaurant at Green Valley Ranch Resort after recently being crowned winner of FOX TV’s hugely popular reality show, “Hell’s Kitchen 3,” hosted by acclaimed chef Gordon Ramsay. Rock outlasted 11 other competitors during the culinary boot camp to earn the coveted title of head chef at Terra Verde, the resort’s newest upscale culinary offering. The restaurant features authentic Italian dishes, from pasta to fresh seafood, as well as an extensive collection of premier Italian and California wines.

“This is the most exciting time of my career,” Terra Verde head chef Rock Harper said. “Winning Hell's Kitchen was such a great accomplishment for me, but I am even more excited about being the head chef at Terra Verde and taking my career to the next level.”

Rock brings more than a decade of culinary experience to his new role as head chef at Terra Verde. His passion for cooking began as a child when he spent summers in Tappahannock, Va., learning how to cook from his grandmother, and the lessons continued at home with his mother. He is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University where he received a degree in culinary arts. Since that time, Rock has worked for the Embassy Suites, Bagel Bakery, It’s About Thyme, Planet Hollywood, BET on Jazz Restaurant, and most recently, at B. Smith’s Restaurant. Prior to relocating to Las Vegas, Rock lived in Spotsylvania, Va.

Terra Verde is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 -10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 – 11 p.m. Reservations are recommended by calling 702-617-7075.
