$35,000 TO BE AWARDED IN OMAHA HI POKER TOURNAMENTS AT GREEN VALLEY RANCH’S NEW POKER ROOM

Henderson, Nev.—Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa and Casino will be hosting five weekly Omaha Hi tournaments in their new, 22-table non-smoking poker room from Sunday, November 26 through Sunday, December 24, with total cash prizes of $35,000. A total of $5,000 will be given away each week, with a first place prize of $2,000. Entry into the tournament is free for participants who play a minimum of 15 hours of live Omaha Hi during the designated qualifying period. Each qualified player will receive $500 in tournament chips. Additionally, $200 will be awarded to any player that receives a royal flush during qualifying in live Omaha games. This will continue until a bonus pool of $10,000 has been distributed.

Tournament games will be held on Sundays at 11 am, with afternoon games at 2 pm if more than 50 players qualify. Players can call or stop by the poker room the Tuesday prior to the tournament to verify their time. The qualifying periods are as follows:

• The November 26 tournament is from midnight November 12 through midnight November 19
• The December 3 tournament from midnight November 19 through midnight November 26
• The December 10 tournament from midnight November 26 through midnight December 3
• The December 17 tournament from midnight December 3 through midnight December 10
• The December 24 tournament from midnight December 10 through midnight December 17

The first boutique luxury resort built off the Las Vegas Strip, Green Valley Ranch opened a $110 million expansion in October, the property’s third major expansion since opening in December 2001. New amenities include a 1,200 space parking garage; a new state-of-the-art 240-seat race & sports book, which boasts a 110 foot video wall powered by 18 projectors; a new 22-table 24-hour non-smoking poker room; more slot and video poker machines; two more restaurants, Tides Oyster Bar and Turf Grill; and an additional 14,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.
