"STRIKE ZONE" CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING BY HOSTING "BANK BOWL"

Henderson-NV "The Strike Zone" Bowling Center at Sunset Station Hotel and Casino will continue its grand opening celebration activities this Saturday, April 23rd from 3-5 p.m. with a charity bowl-a-thon benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada (BBBSN), a national organization which provides mentoring programs that match young people with adult and older teen role models.

This marks the third year Station Casinos has hosted Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada's annual "Bowl for Kid's Sake" (BFKS) campaign where all proceeds raised help support local BBBSN programs and activities. BFKS is one of the non-profit's major annual fundraising events raising nearly $25,000 last year.

"We are excited to be partnering with Station Casinos for a third year in a row," said Erin Cornelius, CEO for BBBSN. "The company's regular support of causes and organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada demonstrates their on-going dedication and commitment to this community."

Big Brothers Big Sisters, founded in 1904, is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. In 2003, the organization served more than 220,000 youths, ages six through 18, in 5,000 communities across the country in one-to-one relationships. In 2003, Forbes placed Big Brothers Big Sisters on its Gold-Star list of the top 10 charities for its excellence in efficiency and effectiveness.
