Sunset Station Hotel Casino today announced "The Strike Zone," its $26 Million Bowling Center, which opened April 4th, will host grand opening festivities this Sunday, April 17th from noon - 4 p.m. The center represents the most sophisticated and expensive bowling and entertainment center in the United States.
"The Strike Zone surpasses anything ever seen in bowling centers," said Pat Kearns, vice president and general manager of Sunset Station. "We're confident Las Vegans will embrace the center as an added attraction to the valley, and that the center will bring in bowlers from around the country," he added.
The architect for the Strike Zone was Friedmutter Group who also designed Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa Casino and Red Rock Resort Spa Casino, currently under construction in Summerlin.
Architectural touches add to the upscale feel of the center, such as hand-blown glass lighting fixtures, extensive stonework, granite surfaces, and carpeting that was custom designed and fabricated specially for the Strike Zone that glows in the dark under black lights.
Every attention has been paid to guest comfort. There are restrooms and locker rooms on both ends of the facility. The snack bar, shoe rental counter and bar and situated in the middle of the center. With every shoe rental, guests receive a free pair of socks that is theirs to keep.
The April 17th grand opening festivities from noon - 4p.m. will feature entertainment for the entire family, bowling exhibitions from nationally recognized professional bowlers, hot dogs, sodas and more. It is open to the public.
