Giving Criteria
We have a generous budget from which we seek to make a positive impact with as many organizations as possible. With that in mind, the following is a list of criteria we’ve established to help focus our resources and efforts.
All charitable requests must:
- Be submitted in writing and provide appropriate contact information
- Originate from a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization (based or with a chapter) located in Nevada
- Fall into one of Station Casinos’ key areas of giving:
- Youth–organizations and programs focused on providing services to children
- Education—efforts to strengthen and assist our K-12 public education system and financial assistance programs to improve access to higher education
- Community Betterment—organizations, programs and initiatives dedicated to providing basic services to those in need, i.e. food, shelter, clothing or other social service assistance. Areas also include:
- domestic violence shelters, education and prevention programs
- homeless shelters
- senior citizen programs
- foster parent outreach and recruitment
- Diversity—programs focused on enhancing economic opportunities within minority communities
We do not consider requests from:
- Individuals or teams (either sports or academic)
- Programs that provide services exclusively outside of Nevada
- Programs that discriminate based on race, color, creed, religion, sex or national origin
